Muzammal presently serves as the Program Manager at the Asian American Community Fund of Pennsylvania. Originally hailing from Kashmir, Muzammal as an experienced researcher, labor & community strategist and organizer, has cultivated expertise in mobilizing and organizing workers and communities across diverse contexts, including Kashmir, Pakistan, and the United States. Muzammal manages the SEED (Strategy, Empowerment, Education, Development) Fellowship and facilitates the work of AAPI PA Power Caucus. Previously, they worked as a Community Organizer with Asian Pacific Islander Political Alliance (API PA) to organize Asian American communities in Pennsylvania. Academically, Muzammal holds both undergraduate and master’s degrees in Economics. They graduate from their second master, MPS Labor and Global Workers Program at Pennsylvania State University Summer of 2024. Muzammal’s academic interests lie at the intersection of political economy, labor markets, global workers’ movement, socio-economic justice, and development.
