Welcome to our Unity Grants Program for Arts and Culture Community Organizations, where creativity flourishes and community connections thrive.
We believe in supporting our community organizations to enrich lives, foster dialogue, and celebrate diverse cultural expressions. Through this program, we aim to support grassroots initiatives, empower community organizations and strengthen the fabric of our communities.
Who Should Apply?
Asian American ethnic-specific community organizations focusing on Asian American heritage, arts, and culture that meet the following criteria:
Hold 1 or more annual Asian cultural celebrations, events, festivals, etc.
Aligned with AACFPA mission and values
Interested in learning about civic engagement and voter education through arts, culture, and community events
Dedicated to Asian American representation at the local, state and national level
What does the Community Fund offer?
Financial sponsorship of events rooted in Asian communities. Grants will range from $500-5000, depending on the event size and scope.
Support from a cohort and the AACFPA’s Arts & Culture Strategist to deepen the understanding of the connection between Asian arts & culture work and civic engagement & voter education.
Networking opportunities which include cultural events, conferences, and conventions to meet and build relationships with peers, professionals, and leaders from various Asian American communities across the state.
What does the grantee organization offer?
Agreement that the Community Fund on nonpartisan voter education and registration activities at the sponsored cultural or arts festival, including but not limited to: consent to AACFPA staff and volunteers tabling or crowd canvassing at the event
Agreement to the AACFPA visible branding and presence at the event, including but not limited to: using the AACFPA logo on the event website, flyers, and other promotional materials, and an an AACFPA representative speaking spot in the program
